04C05 AP COMPUTER SCIENCE A

This workshop will focus on object-oriented program design, implementation, and analysis using Java within the context of the APCS subset. Standard data structures and algorithms, as well as contextual issues (computer hardware, software, ethics, and social implications) will also be considered. The Marine Biology Case Study and preparation for the AP Computer Science A exam will be important components of this course. Optional evening sessions on special topics may also be offered. Pre-requisites: It is assumed that participants in this course are NOT new to programming and that they have either some acquaintance with Java (e.g. Java for Experienced Programmers, A Week) or significant programming/teaching experience with C++.
